Bio of
Fatemeh Ganji

Dr. Fatemeh Ganji is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at WPI. 

She defended her dissertation at the Technical University of Berlin, with an overall grade of ``distinction'' (= summa cum laude). 

For her dissertation, she was awarded the BIMoS Ph.D. Award 2018 and nominated by the Technical University of Berlin for the ACM Dissertation Award. 

Her research focuses on interdisciplinary approaches covering two main angles of hardware security, namely machine learning and cryptography for the design and evaluation of security-critical hardware. 

Her research has been funded by the National Science Foundation, the National Institute of Standards and Technology, Semiconductor Research Corporation, and the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative.  

She serves on the NEHWS organizing committee and was Program and General Chair for NEHWS'24-25. 

She has been Track/Poster (co-)Chair at leading hardware security conferences (DATE'24-26, CHES'23), editor of a special issue, and a TPC member for top security venues including CCS, CHES, DATE, and ACNS.
